She has bones made of plots:
Beginnings, middles, and ends.
The ligaments connecting the dots
Are made out of enticing events.
Her heart pumps not blood, but words:
To the brain, into the hands, where
they unfurl.
She was blind to her anatomy
Until, through new lenses, she could
see
The storyteller she was born to be.
